Trip Overview

Mera peak expedition with Amphu Lapcha pass trip is a challenging trekking and climbing trip to Mera Peak. Mera Peak is the highest peak in Nepal it lies in the eastern region of Nepal. Mera peak expedition starts after a short flight to Lukla and follows the trekking trail through Mera valley up to Mera Peak summit.

After successful summits on Mera Peak, We head towards Amphu Lapcha pass, the way back to Lukla through another route. After Mera summit till to Amphu Lapcha pass, the hotels are very basic but they provide good food and local style bed. After the pass, we will reach Chhhukung from where we again get good lodges.

Day 1: Kathmandu 1300m (Arrival day and transfer to 3-star hotel)
Day 2: Preparation day
Day 3: Fly to Lukla, Trek to Paiya 2729m (5-6 hours)
Day 4: Trek to Panggom 2845m (5-6 hours)
Day 5: Trek to Ramailo dada 3276m (6-7 hours)
Day 6: Trek to Chatra Khola 2800m (6-7 hours)
Day 7: Trek to Khote 3600m (6-7 hours)
Day 8: Trek to Thaknak 4867m (3-4 hours)
Day 9: Rest day for acclimatization 5800m
Day 10: Trek to Khare 5024m (3-4 hours)
Day 11: Rest day, the final preparation day for Mera Peak
Day 12: Mera base camp (3 hours)
Day 13: Mera high camp 5800m (5 hours)
Day 14: Summit and back to Khongmading 4800m (10-11 hours)
Day 15: Trek to Seto Pokhari 5035m (5-6 hours)
Day 16: Trek to Amphu Lapcha base camp 5650m
Day 17: Amphu Lapcha pass day 5845m, Trek to Chhukung (8-10 hours)
Day 18: Half-day,  rest day in Dibuche (4 hours)
Day 19: Trek to Namche 3400m (6 hours)
Day 20: Trek to Lukla 2800m (6-7 hours)
Day 21: Fly back to Kathmandu
Day 22: Reserve day (in case of flight cancellation due to bad weather)
Day 23: Departure to airport for back home
